At the beginning of the century the melanic (dark) form of the peppered moth made up the majority of the population in industrial areas of the UK, whilst in the countryside the light-coloured form of the moth was most common. If a survey were to be done, this year, into populations of peppered moths in industrial and countryside areas, what do you think would be the results and why?
